It promotes communication and collaboration, as team members work together on tasks. It also promotes redundant competencies meaning multiple team members can perform a task.

How Does it Work?
A feature is assigned to the team and they follow an iterative process of development until the feature is ready for release. The team is self-organizing, planning and distributing tasks among themselves.
