What It Is:
Amazon API Gateway's Custom Domain Names feature enables you to have your own domain name to maintain your company's brand identity in the API Gateway. Instead of using the default endpoint provided by AWS, you can use a domain name that you own.
How It Works:
After you purchase and set up your custom domain name via a DNS provider, you then configure this domain in the API Gateway console and map it to your APIs. AWS will provide a CloudFront distribution URL which you then point to with your custom domain in your DNS settings.
