Scrum Sprint Guide

What is Scrum Sprint?
A Scrum Sprint is a time-boxed iteration in the Scrum framework usually lasting for one to four weeks, during which a potentially shippable product increment is created.

Why is it important?
It is the heart of Scrum as it allows for regular inspection, adaptation, and product delivery. It helps teams tackle complex projects by breaking them down into manageable pieces. It encourages continual feedback and allows for course corrections during the project life cycle.

How does it work?
Each Sprint starts with a planning meeting, during which the team members identify the work they can complete during the coming sprint. The work then goes to a Sprint backlog. Each day of the Sprint, the team holds a daily Scrum meeting. At the end of the Sprint, the team reviews the Sprint with stakeholders, and demonstrates what they have built during the Daily Scrum.

Scrum Sprint practice test

A Scrum Sprint is a time-boxed iteration of a continuous development cycle. The Scrum Team commits to complete a set of items (selected during Sprint Planning) from a backlog. Sprints can last from 1 week to 4 weeks long (commonly 2 weeks). At the end of the Sprint, the team should produce a potentially shippable increment of software, regardless of how many backlog items were completed. The idea is to incrementally create working software that adds value, instead of delivering it all at once at the end.
