Guide to Agile Release Train in PMI-ACP Scaled Agile (SAFe)
What is Agile Release Train?
Agile Release Train (ART) refers to a team of agile teams, which along with other stakeholders, simultaneously plan, commit, develop and deliver integrated solutions. It's a core component in a scaled Agile framework.
Why is it important?
ART helps align all teams to the common organisational goals and execution of solutions, thereby improving productivity, enhancing communication and reducing overhead.
How it works?
An ART operates on a set release schedule known as a Program Increment (PI), typically 8-12 weeks. Each PI comprises multiple iterations and a dedicated time for PI planning and Inspect & Adapt (I&A) session.
