This approach ensures the change is considered thoroughly and is inserted into the project flow as smoothly as possible, maximizing the change's value to the project while minimizing disruption to the team's work. As for the other answers: Incorporating the changes immediately could disrupt the current sprint and lower overall productivity. Refusing the changes without assessing their impact is against the agile principle of welcoming changes, even late in development. Running a separate sprint in parallel could overstretch the team and create potential for miscommunication and inconsistencies.
