The Agile model promotes face to face communication and is more about 'people and interactions' over 'processes and tools'. Thus, it seems far more effective for this situation. 'Relying solely on documentation' is not recommended when requirements are not clear and decision-making needs to be more collaborative. 'Autocratic decision making by the product owner' goes against the principles of the agile methodology where decisions are usually made collectively. 'Email-only communication' undermines the value of face-to-face interactions, which are far more effective in complex and ambiguous product development settings where requirements are not clearly understood.
