The primary focus of the Scrum-ban approach is limiting work in progress (WIP) to optimize flow and minimize cycle time. By setting WIP limits, the team ensures that they are not overloading themselves and can focus on completing work items efficiently before starting new ones. This helps to identify and remove bottlenecks in the process, leading to a smoother flow of work and shorter cycle times.

Ensuring all team members are working on the highest priority items is important, but it is not the primary focus of Scrum-ban. Accurately estimating task durations is valuable for planning, but it is not the main emphasis of this approach. Maximizing resource utilization by assigning tasks based on individual capacity is not a key principle of Scrum-ban, as it can lead to overloading team members and reducing overall efficiency.

The best approach to address this specific issue is to adjust the board to better reflect the workflow stages.
