In the context of a self-organizing team within Scrum, the Scrum Master's role is not to impose solutions or directly resolve conflicts. Instead, the Scrum Master is expected to facilitate the team in finding their own solutions, guiding them through the process and ensuring that they have the ability to address issues independently. This approach empowers the team, promotes ownership of solutions, and aligns with the principles of self-organization. The options suggesting providing a detailed conflict resolution plan, assigning tasks to avoid conflicts, or directly resolving conflicts as a mediator are not representative of the Scrum Master's role in a self-organizing team. These approaches undermine the team's autonomy and their ability to self-organize and resolve conflicts on their own.

Encouraging the team member to share their ideas during the Sprint Retrospective meeting is the best practice. It aligns with Scrum values of openness and respect for new ideas. The Scrum Retrospective is a safe space where team members can discuss improvements for the next sprint, which includes new ideas. Recommending keeping the ideas to oneself if it's not part of their tasks is not best practice. It does not foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement which is important in Scrum. Suggesting the team member to directly implement their idea without discussing with the team is against Scrum principles which recommend decision making through consensus Having the team member discuss it outside of the Scrum meetings is not ideal. It's best to use the structure provided by Scrum ceremonies for such discussions.

In Scrum, a sprint is a time-box during which a 'Done', useable, and potentially releasable product increment is created. Once a sprint has started, its duration is fixed and cannot be shortened or lengthened. Nor should the scope be unilaterally modified, that is why it's important to inform the Product Owner that changes cannot be added in the middle of a sprint and must be put on the backlog for future consideration. They can be considered for the next sprint planning. It is wrong to immediately begin work on the new feature without considering the current sprint goals and workload. Also, rejecting the request without discussion is not a healthy practice as it negates the concept of communication and negotiation in Scrum. And finally, cancelling the current sprint to accommodate the new request is not advised unless it becomes obsolete or if the sprint goal becomes irrelevant due to external circumstances. Generally, these are exceptions, not the norm.
