Scaling Scrum in Large Organizations

In the context of Large-Scale Scrum (LeSS), having a component team that continually holds up feature teams can be a significant bottleneck. The most effective solution is to 'Promote the component team to feature team and ask them to build the complete functionality.' This approach encourages a more efficient workflow as the feature teams can now manage the entire functionality, reducing dependencies and waiting times. The option 'Increase the team size of the back-end team,' could add more complexities such as coordination and communication issues, while it does not resolve the root cause of the problem. The choice, 'Ask the back-end team to work overtime,' may provide temporary relief but might lead to team burnout and might not solve the core issue of workflow dependency. The option, 'Ignore the issue to avoid conflict,' is certainly not an effective solution as ignoring a problem typically magnifies it in the long run.

The best approach to this problem should be to 'Coach the teams to take more responsibility in managing the Product Backlog.' In a LeSS (Large-Scale Scrum) setup, it is essential for the teams to be self-organizing and to share the responsibilities associated with the backlog.
